Bevis is a long time Tampa Resident and has enjoyed a career in Country Music for over 30 years. He has been a DJ on Q105 Country, Outlaw 92.5, US1035 and now on 99.5 QYK. Over his career he has had the pleasure of meeting some of the greats like Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and even had Reba McEntire sing backup for him at her house outside of Nashville. As a Side hussle he was also the Mayor of Oldsmar from 2013 to 2019.
Joe Namath earned the nickname “Broadway Joe” during his 12-year career in the NFL with the New York Jets and Los Angeles Rams. During Namath’s prep days in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania he was a three sport star in baseball, basketball and football. Although he received attention from several MLB teams he chose to continue his football career at the University of Alabama under legendary coach Bear Bryant. During his time at Alabama he led the Crimson Tide to an NCAA National Championship in 1964 and led his team to a 29-4 record in three seasons. In 1965 he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the AFL Draft and the 12th overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft and began his career with the New York Jets. After earning AFL Rookie of the Year honors in 1965 he led his team to an AFL Championship in 1968 and a win in Super Bowl III while also earning two AFL Player of the Year Awards and consecutive AFL MVP Awards in 1968 and 1969. Namath retired as a member of the Rams in 1977 with 27,663 passing yards and 173 career touchdowns. In 1985 he took his rightful place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
